Informer plugin

Plugin BPP_Informer is intended to load from the Web and to display informers – a small regularly updated graphic files, that show useful information about weather, currency rates, stock quotes and also different news and announces.

Informer may be the any graphic file in the formats BMP, JPG, TIFF, plain or animated GIF.

Plugin has two lists – one list is for links to the informers itself («URL») another for the links to Web pages that will be opened in browser on double click on informer in the video window.

By default both lists are empty. To add the URL or link, you need to select an empty string in the dropdown list and to edit it. After closing dialog window of plugin settings selected URL will be activated.

Informer loading is performed with http protocol. In the «URL» the protocol type must be specified explicitly, i.e. each link must start with prefix http://

Informer is output to screen on pressing hotkey «Show». By default – Ctrl-Shift-Alt-I.

Duration (sec) – is the duration of informer indication on screen. If this value is zero, then informer will be displayed continuously with refreshing on set intervals. Informer is removed by pressing «Show» hotkey again.

Refresh (min) – the interval of informer refreshing in continuous display mode. When this value is zero, the refresh is disabled. You may force refresh of the informer by pressing the hotkey «Refresh» (by default – Ctrl-Shift-Alt-U).

On informer displaying and updating each Internet connection is logged. All data are recorded to file with the same name as the plugin but with the .log extention. Log-file saved in plugin folder or in the user folder if the BeholdTV option «Store settings for each system user» is swithed on.

For simultaneous display of two or more informers you need to create several instances of BPP_Informer plugin in the Plugins folder by renaming the original BPP_Informer.dll file in the following manner:

After that, you may select each plugin instance to the list of plugins for preview or recording, setup each instance separately and assign individual hotkey combination and link.
