Logo Killer plugin

BPP_LogoKiller plugin allows to hide or make less visible the logo of any TV channel logo on the screen.

Plugin retouches the area on screen selected by mask, by filling it with the color of mask border pixels. By default the mask has rectangular shape with size varying from 4*4 pixels to the whole frame.

You may set the area covered by logo more precisely by loading the logo mask. The mask must be saved in BMP format and represents the outline of the logo, filled by definite color. This color is set in the plugin as the mask color. You may create such mask for example with the help of the BPP_LogoExtractor plugin.

BPP_LogoKiller plugin allows to use as a mask the logo templates prepared for another plugin – BPP_LogoDetector. In the templates for logo detection by the transparency color is filled all but the logo. At the same time BPP_LogoKiller requires filling the logo only to the contrary. The setting «Invert mask» allows to do that without using the graphical editors.

Because it is often hard to build the pixel precise mask covering the whole logo, you may expand borders of existing mask in horizontal and vertical directions by using the keys for changing the size of rectangular mask.

Settings «Border smoothing» and «Background smoothing» allow to additionally smooth the results of plugin work by making the borders and background of retouch less contrast.

Settings «Show mask» and «Transparency» make mask visible and set the level of transparency to make plugin setting more comfortable. The mask will automatically hide on closing the dialog window of plugin settings.
